Spanish in contact with Portuguese

The article about Barranquenho, the border region between Portugal and Spain is excellent. I am from the other country that has a similar situation of mixed language between Spanish & Portuguese (so called Fronterizo or Portu�ol in the northeast of Uruguay and South of Brazil) and I found the article very illustrative and accurate. I used the book for a graduate class on Sociolinguistics and it is extremely thorough, technically rigorous and yet, interesting and enjoyable.
